About

Josh, circa 2009Josh (E-mail)

My love for YG Entertainment dates back to ~2004, when Perry and Teddy’s compositions lured me from a strict diet of rock to hip-hop and R&B. Finding well-translated, well-researched information about YG Family in English was nearly impossible back then, and my frustration eventually motivated me to create YG Bounce with Tama.

I’m the editor behind all of the content you see on the website, and I’m committed to posting information that’s reliable, neutrally presented, and pleasant to read. Behind the seriousface editor facade, though, I’m just as much of a opinionated bastard as anyone else in this fandom, and I’m always happy to exchange opinions and ideas with other fans, no matter how much I disagree with them. Talk to me, I don’t bite. :)

Aside from my YG Bounce duties, I’m an office worker by day and an aspiring fashion student, amateur translator and party animal by night.

I’m 23, born in Montreal, but strongly influenced by a year spent in Tokyo. Currently, I’m a hairdresser and assistant-colourist by day and the other half of the YG (Unofficial) Bounce team by night. Besides working on YG Bounce, I also like to shop (whether it’s online, offline or window-shopping), doodle, and work on language learning (my Japanese is good, but far from perfect, and someday I’d like to try my hand at learning Korean and maybe Chamorro and Klingon).

On YGB, I’m in charge of gathering the news and writing them up, anything Photoshop-related, helping with finding fashion post fodder, Japanese translation and co-writing the profiles. I also do some Japanese translation.
